Doug Halkerston started with Marley Tile Company in 1972. Starting as a junior Doug steadily rose to the position of Contracts Manager responsible for major roofing and flooring contracts throughout the North of Scotland. Doug then moved to the South Hams and established himself as a carpet fitter in the Kingsbridge area and worked for various local retailers.

Now working as a totally independent carpet fitter and supplier Doug now offers a comprehensive service. Doug the Rug can supply and fit your flooring needs or if you prefer simply fit your own carpets for you.

As a NICF qualified carpet fitter Doug has years of expertise and experience that ensure that all work undertaken is carried out to the very highest standard.

As an independent professional fitter he can now offer a prompt, reliable and professional service. Without the need for an expensive showroom Doug prefers to visit you in the comfort of your own home or place of work where the flooring selection can be made within the environment in which it is to be fitted.
